A pretty important date is coming up this month. Father's Day is on Sunday June 20th this year, and I know that in my house, daddy is the apple of my daughter's eye.
She doesn't just call him Daddy - it's "MY daddy" to everyone, even him!!! She cries for him to fix her boo-boos, wakes and runs to him for kisses and hugs in the morning and the same when he returns from work. She talks about him throughout the day, looking for him at the park, in the house and everywhere. It is pretty amazing to watch as their relationship really develops. My daughter has turned into daddy's little girl and my husband has turn into an amazing father.
The power my daughter wields when she looks into her daddy's eyes, with her big brown-eyed puppy dog look is truly divine.
At our Father's Day Park, Craft and Play this coming Saturday June 12th, there will be a chance for all the little momstown sons and daughters to think about how special their dad is to them by creating a wonderful gift. I can't reveal what we will be doing - just in case, daddy is reading this(!) - but it will bring tears and laughter to many of them.
Hope to see you at the park on Saturday. I hear that the rain will hold off till the afternoon. Cross your fingers!

The daddy's little girl thing is alive and well here with my little girl as well. It warms my heart to see their relationship grow and I have to say I can't wait for the fall when I will have mommy's little boy to compete with the utmost admiration daddy receives...but he is a great dad so he sure deserves it.
