Scavenger Hunt Ideas for Little Explorers

Looking for activities for your little explorers?  Nothing says adventure like a scavenger hunt!

Indoors or outdoors, scavenger hunts are not only fun, but a great way to help kids build their observation skills and discover things around them.

At the Park

Make a list of things you can find on a trip to the park or use our colouring sheet (2pgs) - take a pack of crayons along and colour each as you find it.  Printable sheet here

Colour & Shapes

You can do this one anywhere!  Try adding a gold star or sticker next to each item on the checklist found.  Printable sheet here

Go on a Sound Hunt

We found this fantastic idea at InspirationLaboratories.com - Go outside on a sound exploration and keep a notebook of all the different kinds of sounds you hear and what makes them.

Bee = buzz, cars = vroom, siren = weeoo weeoo.  What sound does the wind make?

Can't wait to try it!  Read more here

Have fun exploring!!
