This week we had a special surprise giveaway from McDonalds Canada in honour of their special November Happy Meal program all about reading. Literacy and story time are important elements of our momstown activities so we were pleased to see the introduction of books into the #HappyMeal program. We hope it will be a regular feature of the program for those special occasions when a trip to McDonalds is a permitted treat.
We were really impressed the books, they were very cute and the kids really enjoyed them. Especially Deana's Big Dreams. We appreciated that they had subtle messaging about healthy eating, but were proper stories with cute characters and not at all promotional in nature.
Thanks to McDonalds for special loot bags of books, a free Happy Meal and coffee for grownups. Everyone was happy!
