One of the highlights for me at Christmas time is actually hitting the malls. Surprising yes, but if you think about it, people are actually smiling (for the most part) and the kids are all in their pretty dresses and sharp suits for their picture with Santa. You can watch the kids talking a mile a minute about why they love Christmas and they 'have to have' this and that.
In the malls you are surrounded by the splendor of Christmas, the caroling and ringing of Christmas bells; the music and laughter of the kids. Not to mention it is a time when you can go into stores that you normally don't have to time to go to because your kids just don't have the patience. (A store for Women's under things perhaps!).
Ahh the places and moments in those places that really make the Holidays what they are....
