This past weekend, fellow momstown mama Sarah M visited for a family weekend and agreed to share a guest blog to tell us all about it...
We love to travel, see new things, and offer the kids new experiences. The down side to traveling and doing lots of activities with 3 young kids is that we come home feeling like we need a vacation! We're exhausted! Well, this past weekend was a different situation. We discovered Fern Resort! We have officially found a vacation spot that offers a family getaway AND opportunities for mom & dad to take some time for themselves, relax, and enjoy some adult time.
From the moment I checked in, I knew I had found a gem. The friendly staff and casual atmosphere felt inviting from the moment we arrived.We hit the pool and beach within the first hour of arriving. The water was warm, lifeguards were great with the kids, and everyone was having a wonderful time. The next thing we discovered were the activities for kids! Fern Resort does an outstanding job with their kids programs. They offer a full day of variety for each age group. My kids spent many hours in the programs, and truly loved every moment of it. From crafts, to pony rides and play time, they came out smiling. We took full advantage of these programs while at Fern.
Every evening, my husband and I enjoyed dinner together, without interruptions. It was like having date nights without all the typical planning of date night. We also both took a break during the afternoon. I went to the Spa, and my husband lounged by the pool. Both luxuries we don't often experience.
