
We're thrilled that the Toronto Libraries also have regular programs in place with the same goal - get more kids exposed to reading and literacy skills early. What would we do without our local libraries?
Family Literacy Day is January 27th. Here is a list of the local libaries in our momstown chapter (not a complete list) but the events our chapters think would be a great family adventure.
West Toronto
Saturday Jan 28th 10:00-11:00am
Runnymede Library : Around the world in 80 stories, give or take a few! Celebrate Family Literacy Day with a special storytime and craft. For families of all ages. Share the joy of reading! Please bring gently used children’s books to donate to the Children’s Book Bank. Contact the branch at 416-393-7697 for more information.
East Toronto

Main Street Branch: Celebrate Family Literacy Day with Applefun Puppetry!
Oh no! The Sheriff has stolen the money! The best way to get it back? A dancing contest of course! Afterwards, everyone will make a paper puppet to take home.
Ages 3 to 9. Space is limited. Free tickets will be handed out at 6:30 pm.
