Connect the Tots Playgroup

This morning we launched our Spring/Summer Connect the Tots Playgroup and even though it was a cool morning, we had a ton of fun! We headed to Rennie Park where they have a new play structure that was built the end of the season last year and our Tots were able to enjoy this year.


Despite the play area, swings and area for running around there is a splash pad that was used as a Hockey Rink and Canvas for some Chalk art this morning.


While the kids played, the moms caught up on some facebook stories, tales of our jobs before we were moms, what we are doing for Mother's Day and of course the Long Weekend!

Looking forward to spending more time with all the moms and tots in this weekly playgroup as the days grow warmer!

Foot Flowers - todays all ages playgroup!

This morning momstown Toronto got messy with some paint! The kids took paint brushes and painted their feet all sorts of colors then stomped on their paper to make Feet Flowers!

The messy fun was followed up with some fun with toys and the always loved, Snack time!

Not only was it fun for the kids but the moms had a great time catching up and enjoy themselves.

Wiggle and Dance with My Body

Another Thursday and another funtastic day! momstown Toronto played with the momstown My Body theme made Body Skeletons out of paper, q-tips, glue and crayons! The kids had a great time and their creations were wonderful!

The kids know each other well, they play well and they snuggle well!

Our songs were all focused on the music and motion for the kids! The hokey pokey, Ten Little fingers, Head & Shoulders and the all time favorite, Sleeping Bunnies. It was great!

All ages playgroup - our theme was hats!

momstown Toronto met up this morning for some fun with Hats and Edible Crafts. The kids met with a Happy New Year hello and then wanted to jump right into making our crafts, singing some songs and reading some stories about Hats.

We started with Circle time where we read the book, "The Hat" by Holly Keller, then we had a sing-a-long about wearing hats!

The kids were pretty excited for our edible portion of craft time which was an Edible "Cat in the Hat" snack! (Ritz cracker as the base, whip cream, red gummy lifesaver x 3 layers) Thank you to momstown Kitchener-Waterloo for that craft! They were made, then eaten pretty quickly!

We also spent some time learning about different hats where w e colored the hats in the picture and labeled them as well.

Next the kids gathered together for a game of Hat Bean bag toss. Each child had a turn tossing bean bags into the different hats on the Floor. We had a cowboy hat, a baseball cap and a Safari hat! Lastly, we had some free play with the toys and stuffed animals.
